Kisan Suvidha App
Kisan Suvidha App was launched on 19 March 2016 by Hon’ble Prime minister Shri Narendra Modi. Kisan Suvidha mobile app has been developed to help farmers by providing relevant information on weather of current and next 5 days, dealers, market prices, agro advisories, plant protection, IPM Practices etc.
Features of the mobile app
Following facilities are available on Kisan Suvida App.
- Weather – provides weather report for that day and weather forecast for next five days of a selected district. Extreme weather alerts are also provided.
- Dealers – Name, Mobile number and Address of the dealers of Seeds, Pesticides, Fertilizer and Farm Machinery are provided.
- Market Prices – information about rates of various crops in different mandies are provided.
- Plant Protection – Crop specific information related to pest management are provided. If the condition of crop is not normal, farmers can upload a picture/photo of the crop and send it through kisan suvidha app to agriculture experts for advice.
- Agro Advisories – Information from agriculture experts of districts regarding the advisories about activities to be undertaken and precaution to be taken staring from sowing to harvesting.
- Contact KCC – This option provides facility to speak to Kisan Call Centre (KCC).
- Soil Heath Card – option gives information about Soil Health Card, so that farmers can use fertilizer and pesticides judiciously having regard to minerals available in a particular land/farm.
- Cold Storage and gowdowns – information about warehouse and cold storage available in the district like warehouse / cold storage, name of manager, address, storage capacity and phone number etc are provided.
Agri-Market App
Agri-Market is a Mobile Application launched by Union Agriculture Minister on 23 December 2015, which can be used to get the market price of crops in market within 50 km range of the device location. It can automatically tracks the location of person using mobile GPS and fetches the market prices of crops in those markets.
Kisan Suvidha is an omnibus mobile app developed to help farmers by providing relevant information to them quickly. With click of a button, they can get the information on weather of current day and next 5 days, dealers, market prices, agro advisories, plant protection, IPM Practices etc. Unique features like extreme weather alerts and market prices of commodity in nearest area and the maximum price in state as well as India have been added to empower farmers in the best possible manner.
Crop Insurance mobile app
A Crop Insurance Mobile Application was launched by Union Agriculture Minister on 23 December 2015 to supplement the Crop Insurance Portal. It will help farmers find out complete details about insurance cover available in their area. It will also help farmers to calculate the insurance premium for notified crops, coverage amount and loan amount. Farmers can use this app to get details and information about normal sum insured, premium details, extended sum insured and subsidy information of any notified crop in any notified area.
Pusa Krishi app
Pusa Krishi app was launched on 21 March 2016 by Hon’ble Union Minister of Agriculture Shri Radha Mohan Singh. The mobile app was launched at the valedictory session of the three-day ‘Krishi Unnati Mela’ in New Delhi. This app helps farmers to take the technology to farm field.
- Pusa Krishi Mobile App disseminates information about the latest technologies developed by the Indian Agricultural Research Institute.
- Details of 185 technologies are available on Pusa Krishi Mobile App.
- Pusa Krishi Mobile App is available in two languages viz., Hindi and English.
Crop Insurance Portal
Hon’ble Union Minister of Agriculture Shri Radha Mohan Singh launched Crop Insurance Portal on 18 June 2015.
