Water resources in the country: As per the assessment done by Central Water Commission in the year 2019, the average annual water resource of the river basins of India for the study period of 30 years (1985-2015) has been assessed as 1999.20 BCM. The mean annual rainfall of the basins for the study period of 30 years is 3880 BCM.
